As part of September’s Northants and Rutland’s Open Studios (NROS), I was asked to exhibit my artwork (along with eight other incredible artisans) at the iconic Charles Rennie Mackintosh House at 78, Derngate, Northampton (NN1 1UH).
After a very successful private view on 30th August, the exhibition ran throughout September during the week and weekends (House times: 10am-5pm, Closed Mondays) and we were due to take the exhibition down at the end of September, as NROS came to a close for this year.
However… fantastically, and out of the blue, we were asked by the House Manager, if we would like to extend the exhibition until Christmas!
Of course, we all said yes!
We hope to hold a Christmas Private View on Friday, 6th December 2024 (times to be confirmed), where everyone is welcome.
Please do come and see the exhibition – it is wonderful – with work by Emma Saul (atmospheric landscapes), Claire Mycock (beautiful florals, prints and cyanotypes), Katrina Solano (richly coloured landscapes), Colin Proctor (incredible paintings making the ‘ordinary extraordinary’), Joy Norman (beautiful and detailed assemblages of ephemera), Mark Puryer (beautiful handmade furniture), Nadege Honey (colourful, joyful handmade jewellery), Sarah Luke (gorgeous glass) and me (original paintings on very old dictionary paper with and without copper leaf).
The exhibition is free to enter, with entry to the house.
