Still in its infancy at the moment, I am delighted to announce that I have been commissioned as the “official” Illustrator by Culture Leicestershire, working alongside Author/Poet Ben Macpherson, to produce a children’s book of Lutterworth’s Local Legends.
We’re hoping this book will be a fully interactive community project, with input from “working groups” across the Library, Schools, Colleges, residents of the town- asking- “who do you feel is a “Local Legend” from both past and present?”
We held our first workshop on Tuesday 26th May at Lutterworth Library, where participants were asked to illustrate their legends, add short descriptions and any extra detail of what they felt makes/made these people so special.
Please do watch this space, as the project unfolds… and the stories emerge!
