Culture Leicestershire wanted to sincerely thank the fantastic group of volunteers who tirelessly work, support and give up their time across numerous CL heritage sites… and what better way, than a day dedicated to and for THEM!
There were numerous activities planned throughout the day – from watercolour postcards, dress the knight and a tour of the beautiful Botanic Gardens – and so much food… plus, of course, numerous cups of tea!
I was on hand to capture many of the “willing” volunteers, who wished to “star” on the new Culture Leicester banner, complete with a soundbite “speech bubble” of what volunteering means to them.
I met and drew so many fabulous personalities – from the youngest, to the most ‘quiet’, to the extroverts and the ever affable… all total professionals!
The day drew to a close at 4pm, with many a happy word, hug and many many smiles!
